SlidePath legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SlidePath thinks about privacy and data in plain language for players, clubs, teams, and event administrators.
What SlidePath Is
SlidePath is a community sports platform for curling players, clubs, teams, games, bonspiels, stats, live scoring, activity feeds, and club or bonspiel administration.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to run SlidePath, such as account details, profile information, club and team details, event participation, game results, stats, messages you send to us, and technical information from your browser or device.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide SlidePath features, keep accounts secure, show relevant curling activity, support clubs and events, improve the platform, respond to requests, and troubleshoot issues.
Clubs, Teams, Bonspiels And Public Activity
SlidePath is a community sports platform. Some information, such as player names, club names, team rosters, game scores, standings, public bonspiel results, and activity feed posts may be visible to other users or the public depending on the feature and privacy settings.
Uploaded Stats Sheets And Game Data
Uploaded stat sheets and game data may be processed to create scores, player stats, team stats, standings, activity posts, and event records. Club and event administrators may be able to review or correct information connected to their events.
Account Information
Account information helps us identify you, secure your profile, connect you with teams and clubs, and provide support. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
Google And Facebook Sign-In
If you choose Google or Facebook sign-in, SlidePath uses Supabase Auth to complete authentication and may receive your provider user ID, verified email address, and basic profile information such as your name or avatar. SlidePath does not receive your Google or Facebook password and does not retain provider API access or refresh tokens for this sign-in feature.
Identity Matching And Imported History
A verified account email may be used to connect you with an existing SlidePath profile or curling history that was supplied by a club or event organiser. Imported and private player email addresses are used for invitations and secure identity resolution; they are not public profile fields. Ambiguous matches are held for review instead of being joined automatically.
Cookies And Analytics
SlidePath may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve reliability. Analytics, if used, are intended to help us understand product performance rather than sell personal information.
How We Store And Protect Data
We store information using service providers that help us operate the application, including Supabase for authentication and application data and Vercel for application hosting. Google or Meta processes information when you choose its sign-in service. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
When We Share Information
We may share information with service providers who help operate SlidePath, when required by law, when needed to protect the platform or community, or as part of public and member-facing SlidePath features you choose to use.
Your Choices
You can choose what you add to your profile and how you use public features. Where privacy controls are available, they may affect what other users or the public can see. You can ask us to review or correct account data, disconnect a provider, or request account and provider-data deletion.
Retention And Deletion
We keep account information while it is needed to operate and secure your account, resolve legitimate support issues, and meet legal obligations. A deletion request may remove or de-identify account and provider-link data, but verified public sporting records such as historical team lists, scores, standings, or event results may need to remain as part of the event record. See the User Data Deletion page for the current request process.

This policy is intended to explain SlidePath's approach in plain language and may be updated as the platform develops.
